The Warkworth Hockey Turf Charitable Trust has successfully accomplished their mission of constructing a synthetic turf in our region which was officially unveiled on March 22, 2015.
It has been a lengthy journey for our committee of volunteers and we are extremely grateful to them for providing us with a world-class facility for everyone to enjoy and play on.

The Warkworth Hockey Club currently boasts five teams – two women’s team and three men’s team. Both teams compete in the North Harbour competition on weekends and train in Warkworth during the week.

SOCIAL CLUB
Warkworth social hockey was founded in 2015, coinciding with the opening of the Warkworth Hockey Turf. Our dedicated committee of local hockey players organise both summer and winter competitions for the people of Warkworth and the surrounding areas. Our aim is to provide a fun, social, yet competitive environment. We welcome players of all skill levels to join a team and enjoy the sport.

MAHURANGI COLLEGE HOCKEY
Mahurangi College proudly runs 9 hockey teams ranging from Y7/8 boys and girls teams to Y9-13 Senior boys and girls teams. Our teams participate in the North Harbour leagues, providing students with valuable opportunities to showcase their skills.

JUNIOR HOCKEY
Mahurangi Junior Hockey Club (MJHC) is a platform for primary aged hockey players from Warkworth Primary, Kaipara Flats School, Wellsford + Mangawhai, Matakana School, Snells Beach School, Horizon School and Leigh School. Games are held on Saturday mornings during terms 2 – 3 and comprise mixed teams of boys and girls across two grades. And our Funsticks programme is a great introduction to hockey for years 0 – 2.
